9:00 AM to 5:00 PM HR FOR NON-HR FOLKS! (PLEASE NOTE: Additional fee for this session)
This one-day workshop will review the key Human Resource responsibilities and duties of which all business leaders need to become familiar in this increasing complex and often neglected area. From documentation to accountability and from employment law to personal change strategies, these workshops will provide you with concrete tools and resources to use when you return to your desk.

Target Audience: Management and business owners with HR responsibilities; supervisors who are ready to expand their knowledge of supervisory skills; newer HR staff wanting an overview of HR strategies.

1:00 to 6:00 PM FARM TOUR
Come join us on a tour of 3 stellar Whatcom County farms. Starting off with Hopewell Farm, located nearby the Nooksack River in the small town of Everson, Hopewell farm is both an Organic Valley dairy producer and the co-op’s highest volume producing organic produce farm. Next stop is the innovative Growing Washington at Alm Hill Gardens. A collaborative project between non-profi t Growing Washington, and Alm Hill Gardens, a sustainable family farm in operation for over 35 years. They grow a variety of certifi ed organic berries, salad mixes, root vegetables, cucumbers, squash, asparagus, tulips, and more. Last stop is Bellewood Acres, home of the best Jonagold apple in western Washington. Here we will tour the orchard, packing facility (if we are lucky, get a breathtaking view of Mt. Baker) then head back to their store for some tasty samples. (PLEASE NOTE: Additional fee and registration required for this event).
